Just Hiking Around

This is KC Falls.  The name KC falls comes from Kyle and Chris, because we were just exploring a canyon looking for mines.  While we were hiking we heard the waterfall and found it and it was way bigger then we thought.  It is about a 20 to 25 foot waterfall.  It is such a pretty hike too.

These pictures were taken in North Fork during the fall.  It was a Cuttlerflats trail.  It is a really pretty, but very easy hike.  You just take this huge loop through trees and you come across a nice stream.  It is a very pretty hike.

This picture is Nathan and I doing something very stupid.   It wasn't very safe climbing that cliff without any equipment :) but we survived.

The pictures above are Willard Canyon.  Well thats what i call it anyway.  It is the canyon where you can see the waterfalls. But anyway, this is a pretty difficult hike.  It is almost all back country, but it is way fun.  You have to go there in the spring or early summer. but it is a hike well worth going to.  Very pretty, you have to cross a stream that is going pretty fast and if you slip you are going to be going down a long way.  Great hike though good workout and there are 5 waterfalls that we found up there.  Very pretty, I highly suggest going on that hike.

This is the famous Waterfall Canyon hike.  It is a very populated hike.  There are two ways to get to this.  You can take 29th street trailhead and it's a steady incline the whole way up, or you can go the way my best friend and I take.  We go to the 36th street trailhead(not the first one but the second one.) It takes longer to get there but it is a much more and less populated trail.  Very pretty if you go the 36th street way, but the 29th street doesn't get pretty until you hit the stream.

This is Lewis Peak Hike. It is a very pretty hike, but I wouldn't suggest going all the way to Lewis Peak. Just because it's anti-climatic.  It is a fun train to go on though you follow the ridge-line.  It feels like you are on the Lord of the Rings riding to Rohan.

This is Ben Lomond Peak.  I at least have to go there once a year.  There are several ways to get to this peak.  The easiest by far is driving a truck up to Inspiration point and walking over it's about 3 or 4 miles maybe more. The hardest way is the face.  I have had the face defeat me once with rocks sliding down and crushing my leg, but i have succeeded the face.  Just remember if you hike the face choose the left when you reach the fork in the road.

Cold Water canyon in North Ogden.  That place is gorgeous year around.

My best friend just got a camera for her birthday and we were just playing abound.
Isn't this picture cool. I can't clame that i took this. Carlie took this picture, but the story behind it is.  She got a new camera and we had a pretty big lightning storm and we really wanted to take a picture of some lightning.  Well when we got to our spot, we couldn't get the camera to focus on anything, because it has an auto focus lens, so we needed to focus it on something faraway to make it work.  We had the most difficult time doing this it caused us to fight we were both getting really frustrated because we were losing a lot of good shots. but we finally got it and switched the lens to manual and got some amazing shots.  It wasn't until about couple weeks later that we figured out how to focus the lens on manual focus :) we felt so stupid, but it made for a good time :)
This is the Nature center trail.  Look at how pretty North Ogden is.

These two pictures above are the Indian trail on 22nd street in Ogden.  It is a really fun and easy hike to go on.
Hiking the face of Ben Lomond.  Tyler and Nathan succeeded and Kyle and I went back.  This is when i had the rocks fall on my leg.

These are pictures of our Pride Rock hike, up Cold Water Canyon.  We were going back country and that is a bad idea in that canyon.  The dirt is really soft and filled with tons and tons of spiders.  It was very difficult to climb up, because of the soft ground and a ton of shrub oak.  It was a very difficult hike, but a really good time with Nathan and Jubb.

This was a beautiful long hike up in Malad Idaho up at Mary's cabin.

These are the twine huts we accidentally found while exploring the foothills. Very beautiful place.  This hike has all of Utah's wild flowers, including the seagull lilly.  It is a very pretty hike and it only takes about 10 minutes to get there.

On our way to Ben Lomand from inspiration point.  We saw all of these mountain goat.  They are way cool creatures.
This is disgusting.  Jubb is drinking his sweat from his head band.

Nathan, Jubb, and I decided to go mountain biking, so we went on the bonnivelle shoreline trail and we had a blast.  I remember on our way back there was a kid that fell off of a cliff on the waterfall hike.  I just remember seeing the paramedics were cruising up the mountain, and we get towards the bottom, the cops and fireman were struggling way bad to get up the hill to assist the paramedics.  It was kind of funny.  They at least got there workout for the year :)

These are taken on top of Lewis Peak.  That was a good ole time.

I love hiking at night, when it's cool and no one else is on the trail besides you and some friends.  Plus when you get to your destination you look up at the sky and it's beautiful.  You get to see almost all of Gods creations.  It's amazing.  Man i love hiking at night :)
